Barton Creek is a census-designated place (CDP) in Travis County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the CDP population was 3,077. Barton Creek is ranked second in Texas based on per capita income. As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,589 people, 707 households, and 509 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 296.4 people per square mile (114.5/km2). There were 754 housing units at an average density of 140.6/sq mi (54.3/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.20% White, 2.39% African American, 0.19% Native American, 2.77% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.50% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.71% of the population. There were 707 households, out of which 22.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% were married couples living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% were non-families. 22.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 1.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.25 and the average family size was 2.63. In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 17.6% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 29.5% from 25 to 44, 40.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.7 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $158,623, and the median income for a family was $172,909. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $44,716 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $110,504. About 1.3% of families and 3.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen or sixty-five or over.

Barton Creek

Austin is the state capital of Texas, an inland city bordering the Hill Country region. Home to the University of Texas flagship campus, Austin is known for its eclectic live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. Its many parks and lakes are popular for hiking, biking, swimming and boating. South of the city, Formula One's Circuit of the Americas raceway has hosted the United States Grand Prix.
Residents of Austin are known as&nbsp;Austinites.&nbsp;They include a diverse mix of government employees, college students, musicians, high-tech workers, digital marketers, and&nbsp;blue-collar workers. The city's official slogan promotes Austin as "The Live Music Capital of the World", a reference to the city's many musicians and live music venues, as well as the long-running&nbsp;PBS&nbsp;TV concert series&nbsp;Austin City Limits.&nbsp;The city also adopted "Silicon Hills" as a nickname in the 1990s due to a rapid influx of technology and development companies. In recent years, some Austinites have adopted the unofficial slogan "Keep Austin Weird",&nbsp;which refers to the desire to protect small, unique, and local businesses from being overrun by large corporations.&nbsp;Since the late 19th century, Austin has also been known as the "City of the Violet Crown", because of the colorful glow of light across the hills just after sunset.
In 1987, Austin originated and remains the site for&nbsp;South by Southwest&nbsp;(stylized as SXSW and colloquially referred to as&nbsp;South By), an annual conglomeration of parallel&nbsp;film,&nbsp;interactive media, and&nbsp;music festivals&nbsp;and&nbsp;conferences that take place in mid-March. Emerging from a strong economic focus on government and education, since the 1990s, Austin has become a center for technology and business. A number of&nbsp;Fortune 500&nbsp;companies have headquarters or regional offices in Austin, including&nbsp;3M,&nbsp;Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

Austin

The city of Bee Cave is served by the Lake Travis Independent School District. Three elementary schools, Bee Cave Elementary School in Bee Cave, Lake Pointe Elementary School in an unincorporated area, and Lakeway Elementary School in Lakeway, serve Bee Cave and sections of Lakeway. Lake Travis Middle School and Bee Cave Middle School serve most of Bee Cave while Hudson Bend Middle School serves portions to the northwest; both schools are in unincorporated areas. Lake Travis High School, in an unincorporated area, serves all of Bee Cave. Lake Travis Middle School served the entirety of Bee Cave until 2019 when Bee Cave Middle School began operations. It is now served both schools. Eanes Independent School District and Westlake High School (Texas) are also in the area but do not serve Bee Cave.
As of the&nbsp;census&nbsp;of 2020, there were 9144 people and 4044 households in the city. The&nbsp;population density&nbsp;was 252.0 people per square mile (97.4/km2). There were 4044 housing units at an average density of 94.5 per square mile (36.5/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 69.6%&nbsp;White, 2.8%&nbsp;Black, 0.2%&nbsp;Native American, 13.1%&nbsp;Asian, 3.4% from&nbsp;other races, and 10.9% from two or more races.&nbsp;Hispanic&nbsp;or&nbsp;Latino&nbsp;of any race were 12.8% of the population.
There were 207 households, out of which 50.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 79.7% were&nbsp;married couples living together, 2.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.9% were non-families. 9.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.17 and the average family size was 3.38. In the city, the population was spread out, with 33.1% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 5.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 108.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.2 males.
In 2015 the median income for a household in the city was $129,270, and the median house value was $597,091. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $59,000 for females. The&nbsp;per capita income&nbsp;for the city was $53,911. None of the families and 2.7% of the population were living below the&nbsp;poverty line, including no under eighteens and none of those over 74.

Bee Cave

The town of Buda sprang up along the route of the International-Great Northern Railroad, which was extended from Austin to San Antonio in 1880. Buda bore the name of "Du Pre" from its birth in 1881 until the autumn of 1887, when postal officials became aware that another Texas town was also named Du Pre.
Cornelia Trimble platted the town of Du Pre on April 1, 1881, establishing streets and a 150-foot (46 m) wide "Reservation" between the lots and the railroad right of way, which allowed the railroad to place buildings on the parkland, including the depot that would become the lifeblood of the town over the next few decades. Several businesses sprang up, including the Carrington Hotel, which served meals to railroad travelers.
By the time Du Pre found a new name for itself, the Carrington hotel was known as the "Buda House". The "Dupre Notes" column of the Sept. 25, 1886, edition of the Hays County Times and Farmer's Journal notes that "The Buda House is one of the best hotels in the state. The polite and entertaining hostess, Mrs. Carrington, meets all with a courteous welcome." According to the town's oral tradition, "Buda" is a corruption of the Spanish word viuda, or "widow", referencing the widows who supposedly worked as cooks at the Carrington Hotel. Others suggest that like the town of Buda, Illinois, the town name is a nod to the exiles of the failed Hungarian Revolution of 1848 who settled in the area. Buda was incorporated in 1948. By the mid-1980s it had attracted a cement plant and some craft industry.

Buda

Hutto&nbsp;is a city in&nbsp;Williamson County, Texas, United States. It is part of the&nbsp;Austin&ndash;Round Rock&nbsp;metropolitan area. The population was 14,698 at the 2010 census.
Hutto is located at 30&deg;32&prime;40&Prime;N 97&deg;32&prime;43&Prime;W (30.544517, &minus;97.545198), about seven miles (11 km) east of Round Rock and 22 miles (35 km) northeast of Austin.
According to the&nbsp;United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.75&nbsp;square miles (20.1&nbsp;km2), all of it land.

Historically, Hutto was established in 1876 when the&nbsp;International-Great Northern Railroad&nbsp;passed through land owned by James Emory Hutto (1824-1914), for whom the community is named. Railroad officials designated the stop Hutto Station. James Hutto was born in Alabama on June 8, 1824; he came to Texas in 1847 and moved his family to Williamson County in 1855. A slave, Adam Orgain, was actually the first person to live in the immediate Hutto vicinity, having been placed out on the blackland prairie by his owner to watch after the cattle and livestock holdings. In 1876, James Hutto sold 50 acres (200,000&nbsp;m2) to the Texas Land Company of New York for a town site and railroad right of way. Hutto had become a wealthy cattleman in Williamson County, but in 1885, he left Hutto and moved to Waco and entered the hardware business. Other early settlers in the area were the Carpenter, Davis, Evans, Farley, Goodwin, Highsmith, Johnson, Magle, Payne, Saul, Weight, Womack, and Wright families. Other people living in Hutto during the 1890s included the Armstrongs, the Ahlbergs, M.B. Kennedy, the Hugh Kimbro family, William McCutcheon, Green Randolph, J.B. Ross and the Tisdales. Soon, a great many more people, primarily Swedish and German immigrants, came to this area to farm and ranch and begin their new lives in America.

Hutto

Hyde Park is a charming residential enclave with tree-lined streets and homes from the turn of the 20th century. Examples of Victorian architecture, including Queen Annes and Tudor Revivals, mix with Craftsman bungalows. The Elizabet Ney Museum, a castlelike residence and studio built in 1893 by a free-spirited sculptor &amp; artist, showcases over 100 of her pieces. Coffeehouses and cafes round out the scene.

Hyde Park

Killeen is a city in central Texas. It&rsquo;s known for the Fort Hood military base. The base includes the 1st Cavalry Museum, featuring an outdoor exhibition of historic military vehicles. On the Central Texas College campus, the Mayborn Science Theater hosts planetarium shows. Lions Club Park has a swimming pool and a playground. East of the city, Temple Lake Park has picnic areas, a beach and bass-filled waters.

Killeen

Kyle is a city in Hays County, Texas, United States. Its population was 28,016 in the 2010 census and estimated to be 48,393 in 2019.[6] Kyle is one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas The town was established on July 24, 1880, when David E. Moore and Fergus Kyle (for whom the town was named) deeded 200 acres for a townsite to the International-Great Northern Railroad. The new town drew residents and businesses from Mountain City, three miles west, and Blanco, four miles west. Tom Martin operated the first business in Kyle. The community's population exceeded 500 by 1882, but later declined. Kyle was incorporated in 1928 as a general-law city with a mayor and five council members. In 1937, Mary Kyle Hartson, daughter of Fergus Kyle, was elected mayor by a write-in vote. In the early 1940s, Kyle was noted as the only Texas town with an all-woman government. From 1892 to 1901, Kyle was the childhood home of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Katherine Anne Porter. Many of her most famous short stories, such as "Noon Wine", are set in locations in and around Kyle. Her former home is now a writer's residence open to the public by appointment. The Katherine Anne Porter Literary Center hosts readings by visiting writers.

Kyle

Hialeah is a city in&nbsp;Miami-Dade County,&nbsp;Florida,&nbsp;United States. With the population of 233,339 at the 2019 United States Census,&nbsp;Hialeah is the sixth-largest city in Florida. It is a principal city of the&nbsp;Miami metropolitan area, which was home to an estimated 6,198,782 people at the 2018 census.&nbsp;It is located west-northwest of Miami, and is the only place in the county, other than&nbsp;Homestead,&nbsp;Florida, to have its own&nbsp;street grid&nbsp;numbered separately from the rest of the county (which is otherwise&nbsp;based&nbsp;on&nbsp;Miami Avenue&nbsp;at&nbsp;Flagler Street&nbsp;in&nbsp;downtown Miami, the&nbsp;county seat).The city is notable for its high&nbsp;Hispanic&nbsp;proportion, which at 94.0%, is&nbsp;the second-highest proportion of Hispanic Americans&nbsp;out of any city in the&nbsp;United States&nbsp;outside of&nbsp;Puerto Rico.&nbsp;Hialeah also has the highest percentage of&nbsp;Cuban&nbsp;and&nbsp;Cuban American&nbsp;residents of any city in the United States, at 73.37% of the population, making them a typical and prominent feature of the city's culture.Hialeah also has one of the largest Spanish-speaking communities in the country. Hialeah

North Miami&nbsp;is a suburban city located in northeast&nbsp;Miami-Dade County, Florida,&nbsp;United States, about 10 miles (16&nbsp;km) north of&nbsp;Miami. The city lies on&nbsp;Biscayne Bay&nbsp;and hosts the&nbsp;Biscayne Bay Campus&nbsp;of&nbsp;Florida International University, and the North Miami campus of&nbsp;Johnson &amp; Wales University. Originally the town of "Arch Creek", the area was incorporated as the "Town of Miami Shores", which was renamed the "Town of North Miami" in 1931. It was reincorporated as a city in 1953.The city is also home to the&nbsp;Oleta River State Park, which is the state's largest urban park.As of 2010, the population recorded by the&nbsp;U.S. Census Bureau&nbsp;is 58,786.&nbsp;With almost 60,000 residents, North Miami is the sixth largest city in&nbsp;Miami-Dade County.

North Miami

Ocala is a city in central Florida. East of downtown, Fort King National Historic Park was an important Second Seminole War site. The collection at the Appleton Museum of Art includes pre-Columbian artifacts and contemporary art. The waters of Silver Springs State Park are dotted with kayaks and glass-bottom boats. The park is also the gateway to the woods and lakes of the vast Ocala National Forest to the east.&nbsp;

Fort Myers, or&nbsp;Ft. Myers, is the&nbsp;county seat&nbsp;and commercial center of&nbsp;Lee County, Florida, United States. As of the&nbsp;2010 U.S. Census, the population was 62,298 and in 2019 was estimated at 87,103. Together with the larger and more residential&nbsp;Cape Coral, it anchors a&nbsp;metropolitan statistical area&nbsp;(MSA) which comprises Lee County and has a population of 770,577 in 2019.Fort Myers is a gateway to the&nbsp;Southwest Florida&nbsp;region and a major tourist destination within Florida. The&nbsp;winter estates&nbsp;of&nbsp;Thomas Edison&nbsp;("Seminole Lodge") and&nbsp;Henry Ford&nbsp;("The Mangoes") are major attractions. The city takes it name from a local former fort that was built during the Seminole Wars. The fort in turn took its name from Colonel&nbsp;Abraham Myers&nbsp;in 1850; Myers served in the United States Army, mostly the Quartermaster Department, in various posts from 1833-1861 and was the quartermaster general of the&nbsp;Confederate States Army&nbsp;from 1861-1864.
